Description
Indication
Acirab is indicated for:
- Short-term treatment (4-8 weeks) for healing and symptomatic relief of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
- Maintenance of healing and reducing relapse rates of heartburn symptoms in patients with GERD.
- Treatment of duodenal ulcers.
- Long-term treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions, such as Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.
- Eradication of H. pylori in combination with appropriate antibiotics.
Dosage
The typical dosage for adults is:
- Erosive or ulcerative GERD: 20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks.
- Maintenance of healing: 10-20 mg once daily.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Starting dose is 60 mg once daily, which may be increased to 120 mg/day based on individual patient needs.
- H. pylori eradication: 20 mg once daily in the morning.

Precautions
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use with caution and consult a healthcare provider.
