Description

1. Description and Composition:
   • Hyperex-SR is a combination of two drugs:
     • Rabeprazole 20 mg: It belongs to a class of antisecretory compounds known as substituted benzimidazole proton-pump inhibitors. Rabeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric H+K+ ATPase at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. It does not exhibit anticholinergic or histamine H2 receptor antagonist properties.
     • Domperidone 30 mg: Domperidone is a dopamine antagonist with both prokinetic (gastrokinetic) and antiemetic properties. It does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier.
   • Inactive ingredients (excipients) are also present in sufficient quantities.
2. Uses and Indications:
   • Hyperex-SR is indicated for the relief of symptoms related to:
     • Dyspepsia
     • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
     • Nausea associated with acid peptic disorders
     • Post-operative nausea and vomiting
     • Chronic gastritis
3. Dosage and Administration:
   • Take one capsule of Hyperex-SR once daily or as directed by your physician.
4. Side Effects:
   • Common side effects may include:
     • Nausea or vomiting
     • Mouth ulcers
     • Dizziness
     • Drowsiness
     • Diarrhea
     • Skin rash
     • Increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight
5. Precautions:
   • Avoid Hyperex-SR if you are allergic to any of its components.
   • Patients with severe liver impairment should use Hyperex-SR with caution, as it can further increase the risk of liver damage.
