Zoleric 20mg (Esomeprasole)

Description

1. Indications:
   • • Treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Zoleric is effective in managing symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, and regurgitation caused by GERD.
     • Healing of Erosive Esophagitis: It helps heal inflammation and damage to the esophagus caused by stomach acid.
     • Maintenance of Healing of Erosive Esophagitis: After initial healing, Zoleric can be used to prevent recurrence.
     • H. pylori Eradication: Used in combination with antibiotics to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence.
     • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Rare condition characterized by excessive acid production due to a tumor.
2. Dosage:
   • Ulcers, Heartburn, GERD:
     • Adults: Take 20 mg once a day for 14 days.
     • Children (12 to 17 years): Take 20 mg or 40 mg once a day for 4 to 8 weeks.
   • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome:
     • Adults: Take 40 mg twice a day.
   • Always follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage.
3. Side Effects:

• • Common side effects may include:
    • Headache
    • Diarrhea
    • Nausea
    • Vomiting
    • Stomach pain
