It’s for external use only. Avoid applying to open wounds.

Some possible side effects include:
Burning sensation, redness, or itching at the site of application.
Peeling or dry skin.
In overuse (too much cream) — skin might become very red, swollen, or irritated.
According to safety data, common side effects (≥1%) include: pruritus (itching), burning, and application site erythema.
Precautions
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to a doctor before using it. The risk seems low with topical use, but caution is advised.
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.
Don’t cover the treated area with tight or “occlusive” bandages, unless a doctor tells you to — this can increase absorption.
Make sure to tell your doctor or pharmacist about other skin creams you use (especially steroid creams), because there may be special considerations.
