Description
Lamisil Cream contains terbinafine hydrochloride 1%, which is an antifungal medication.
It’s used to treat fungal skin infections like athlete’s foot, ringworm, and jock itch.
It’s “fungicidal,” meaning it kills the fungus rather than just stopping its growth.
How to Use It
Clean and dry the affected area before applying.
Apply a thin layer once or twice a day, depending on what your doctor prescribes.
Even if symptoms improve, you may need to complete the full treatment period to ensure the infection is fully cleared.
For certain areas (like between toes or groin), after applying, you can cover with a light gauze to help.
Possible Side Effects
Some common side effects include:
Skin irritation (itching, burning, stinging) at the application site.
Redness, dryness, or peeling.
Rare but serious reactions:
Severe allergic reaction (swelling, hives) — stop use and seek medical help.
If irritation gets worse (blistering, swelling, etc.), stop and talk to your doctor.
