Description
Timolol eye drops are a type of beta-blocker used primarily to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension (high pressure in the eye). They work by reducing fluid production inside the eye, which helps lower intraocular pressure and prevent vision loss.
Uses:
Glaucoma (open-angle)
Ocular hypertension
Dosage:
Typically, one drop in the affected eye(s) once or twice daily.
Follow your doctor’s prescription carefully.
Precautions:
Avoid if you have asthma, severe COPD, heart conditions (like bradycardia or heart block).
Can cause low blood pressure, dizziness, or fatigue.
Remove contact lenses before using and wait 15 minutes before reinserting.
Do not abruptly stop using it without consulting your doctor.
