Description
Cipro eye Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution, is an antibiotic eye drop used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, such as conjunctivitis (pink eye) and corneal ulcers. It belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics and works by killing the bacteria causing the infection.
Usage Instructions:
For Bacterial Conjunctivitis: Instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake on days 1-2, then every 4 hours on days 3-7.
For Corneal Ulcers: Instill 2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 15 minutes for the first 6 hours, then every 30 minutes for the remainder of day 1. On day 2, instill 2 drops every hour, and on days 3-14, instill 2 drops every 4 hours.
Common Side Effects:
Eye burning or stinging
White crystals or crusting on eyelids
Eye redness or itching
Blurry vision
Unpleasant taste after application
