Description

Uses:
Hypertension: Telmisartan helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of complications like heart attacks and strokes.
Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: In certain patients, telmisartan is used to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death from heart disease.
Dosage:
The typical starting dose is 40 mg once daily, which may be adjusted based on individual response. For cardiovascular risk reduction, an 80 mg daily dose is commonly recommended.
Side Effects:
Common side effects may include sinus pain, back pain, diarrhea, sore throat, flu-like symptoms, upset stomach, muscle pain, headache, dizziness, fatigue, and nausea. Serious side effects can occur and should be discussed with a healthcare provider.
