Description
Indication:
- Avodart is indicated for the treatment of BPH in men with an enlarged prostate.
- It may also be used in combination with another medication called tamsulosin.
Dosage:
- The usual dosage is one capsule (0.5 mg) taken orally once daily.
- Swallow the capsule whole: do not chew or crush it
Side Effects:
- Common side effects include changes in libido, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation disorders, and oligospermia.
- A serious allergic reaction is rare but seek medical help if you experience rash, swelling, severe, dizziness or trouble breathing.
Precautions:
- Avodart should never be taken by women or children.
- Pregnant women should avoid handling the capsules due to the risk of birth defects.
