Description
Indication:Â This medication is indicated for the treatment of conditions such as:
- Acute purulent conjunctivitis
- Fresh inflammation of the superficial and deeper corneal layers
- Keratitis disciformis
- Post-herpetic keratitis
- Allergic conjunctivitis
- Allergic blepharitis
Dosage: The dosage for Stadexolene Eye Drops should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the severity and type of infection. Generally, one or two drops are instilled into the conjunctival sac every four to six hours.
Side Effects:Â Common side effects may include:
- Eye redness
- Eye irritation
- Blurred vision
- Eye pain
Precautions:
- Patients with a history of ocular herpes simplex should use with caution as viral infections can reoccur with steroid use.
- Not recommended for use in patients with fungal or viral eye infections.
- Prolonged use may increase the risk of cataracts and glaucoma.
