Description
Indication
Ovumine is primarily used to treat:
- Ovulatory failure in women who wish to become pregnant.
- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Certain types of amenorrhea (absence of menstruation)
Dosage
- For ovulatory failure: 50 mg daily for 5 days, starting within 5 days of the onset of menstruation. If ovulation does not occur, the dose may be increased to 100 mg daily for 5 days.
- For other indications: 50 mg daily for 5 days starting from the 5th day of menstruation or as recommended by a physician.
Side Effects
Common side effects include:
- Hot flashes
- Abdominal discomfort
- Nausea and vomiting
- Breast tenderness
Precautions
- Do not use clomiphene if you are already pregnant.
- Avoid if you have liver disease, abnormal vaginal bleeding or ovarian cysts irrelated to PCOS
- Use with caution if you have endometriosis or uterine fibroids.
- Prolonged use may increase the risk of ovarian tumors
