Nugel-O Antacid

Description

• Indications:
• Nugel-O is used for:
• • • • • Symptomatic relief of gastritis
        • Hyperacidity associated with peptic ulceration
        • Relief from ulcer
        • Reflux oesophagitis
        • Heartburn
        • Flatulence
• Dosage:
  • Adults: Take 15 mL (one tablespoonful) twice daily or as directed by the physician.
  • Children: Not recommended for use in children.
  • Method of administration: Shake well before use. Take 20 minutes to 1 hour after meals and at bedtime or as required.
• Side Effects and Precautions:
  • Contraindications:
    • Avoid in severely debilitated patients or those with renal insufficiency.
    • Aluminum-containing antacids (except those with aluminum phosphates) are contraindicated in hypophosphatemia.
    • Magnesium-containing antacids are contraindicated in severe renal function impairment.
    • Avoid in patients with symptoms of appendicitis.
  • Special warnings:
    • In patients with renal impairment, plasma levels of aluminum and magnesium may increase.
