Mepisan Cream

Description

1. Indications:
   • Mepisan® Cream is used for the relief of symptoms in the following conditions:
     • Hypersensitivity reactions: It helps alleviate symptoms associated with allergic responses.
     • Pruritic skin disorders: It provides relief from itching and discomfort.
     • Insect bites and stings: Mepisan® Cream soothes itching and pain caused by insect bites.
     • Nettle rash: It relieves irritation and pain due to nettle rash.
     • First-aid dressing: Useful for minor sunburns, scalds, and burns.
2. Dosage and Administration:
   • Apply Mepisan Cream to the affected area two or three times daily for up to three days.
   • Be cautious when applying to large areas of broken skin.
   • If any adverse skin reaction occurs due to sensitization, discontinue use immediately.
3. Side Effects and Precautions:
   • Hypersensitivity reactions: Topical therapy may lead to skin sensitization, eczematous reactions, and photosensitivity.
   • Cross-sensitivity: Be aware of potential cross-sensitivity to related drugs.
   • Systemic effects: Although rare, systemic side effects have been reported after topical antihistamine applications to large skin areas.
   • Keep out of the reach of children.
