Description
Indication: Loratadine is indicated for allergy symptoms, including runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes and itching of the eyes, nose or throat.
Dosage:
- For children aged 2 to 6 years, the dose depends on their age. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.
- Liquid loratadine should be measured using a dosing syringe or special spoon.
Side Effects: Common side effects may include
- headache, tiredness, or drowsiness.
Precautions:
- Do not take loratadine if you are allergic to it or desloratadine (Clarinex).
- Inform your healthcare provider about your medical conditions and all medications you use.
- Some chewable forms may contain phenylalanine; consult your doctor if you have phenylketonuria (PKU).
- Use with caution if you have liver or kidney disease.
