Description
Indications (Uses): Atadyn is indicated for:
- Seasonal allergic rhinitis
- Perennial allergic rhinitis
- Sneezing, rhinorrhea, and itching
- Ocular itching and burning
- Chronic urticaria and other allergic dermatologic disorders.
Dosage and Administration:
- Adults and children above 12 years: 10 mg (1 Loratidine tablet) once a day.
- Children (6–12 years): 10 mg (1 Loratidine tablet) once a day.
- Children (2–5 years): 5 mg (1/2 Loratidine tablet or 5 ml of 5 mg/5 ml Loratidine syrup) once a day.
- Safety and efficacy in children below 2 years have not been established.
Contraindications:
- Loratadine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to its components.
Side Effects:
- Rash, hives, itching, swelling (e.g., eyes, face, lips, tongue, throat, hands, arms, feet, ankles, or lower legs)
- Hoarseness, difficulty in breating or swallowing, wheezeing.
Precautions:
- Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver diseases, certain allergies and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
