Description
Indications:
Gabapentin is used for:
- Partial onset seizures in patients 3 years and older ( usually in combination with other seizure medication.
- Pain from shingles (postherpetic nerve pain).
- Restless legs syndrome
- Dosage Forms:
Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:
- Drowsiness, dizziness, weakness.
- Problems with balance or muscle movement.
- Fever, headache, swelling of legs and feet.
- Trouble speaking, jerky movement and more.
Precautions:
- Avoid abrupt discontinuation, as seizures may increase.
- Be cautious if you have breathing problems, diabetes, depression, or kidney disease.
