Description

1. Clinical Pharmacology:
   • Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal with broad-spectrum activity against yeasts (including Candida albicans), dermatophytes, and other fungi.
   • Clindamycin is an antibiotic effective against Gram-positive aerobes and anaerobic bacteria associated with bacterial vaginosis.
2. Indications:
   • Mycoten Plus is indicated for the treatment of:
     • Infective leucorrhea (thick, whitish vaginal discharge)
     • Mixed infections
     • Non-specific vaginitis
     • Vaginal candidiasis
     • Bacterial vaginosis
3. Dosage:
   • Cream: Apply to the affected area 2-3 times a day.
   • Tablets: Insert as directed. Little systemic absorption occurs after vaginal administration.
4. Side Effects:
   • Common side effects may include local irritation, itching, or burning.
