Description
Indication
Aristocrom is indicated for the prophylaxis and treatment of allergic conditions such as:
- Acute and chronic allergic conjunctivitis
- Vernal keratoconjunctivitis
- Vernal conjunctivitis
- Giant papillary conjunctivitis
- Allergic keratoconjunctivitis
- Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
Dosage
- Eye Drops: Instill 1-2 drops into each eye 4-6 times daily.
- Nasal Drops: Instill 1 drop into each nostril 4-6 times daily.
- Prophylactic treatment for seasonal allergic rhinitis should begin 2-3 weeks before exposure to allergens and continue throughout the season.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include:
- Eye irritation (burning, stinging, redness)
- Mild throat irritation
- Coughing
- Transient bronchospasm (shortness of breath)
Precautions
- Contact Lenses: Remove contact lenses before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
- Pregnancy and Lactation: No adverse effects on fetal development have been observed. The amount absorbed by breast-fed infants is considered negligible.
- Allergies: Discontinue use if severe reactions occur and consult a healthcare provider
