Description
Indication:
- Visine provides temporary relief for minor eye redness, swelling, or drainage caused by minor irritants.
- It is commonly used for red eyes due to smog, swimming, dust or smoke exposure.
- Some Visine products are specifically designed for allergies and may contain antihistamines and decongestants
Side Effects:
- Common side effects include mild burning or stinging of the eye, blurred vision, watery eyes, and dilated pupils.
- Serious side effects are rare but may include eye pain, changes in vision, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or severe headache.
- Seek medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (hives, difficulty breathing, swelling)
Precautions:
- Do not use Visine if you are allergic to it.
- Consult a doctor if you have glaucoma, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorder, or eye injury/infection.
- Wash hands before applying eye drops and avoid touching the dropper tip.
- Remove contact lenses before use and wait 10 minutes after using Visine before inserting lenses.
- Overuse may lead to increased eye redness (rebound effect).
