Postoperative ocular inflammation, Inflammation and discomfort after strabismus surgery, Pain and discomfort after radial keratotomy, Pain after accidental trauma, Control of inflammation after argon laser trabeculoplasty, Prophylaxis of intra-operative miosis, Post-photorefractive keratectomy pain, Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs):
- Diclofenac Sodium: Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits the cyclooxygenase pathway, leading to reduced prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) synthesis.
- Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): Paracetamol is used to treat pain and fever. It selectively inhibits COX activities in the brain, contributing to its ability to treat fever and pain.
- Chlorzoxazone: Chlorzoxazone is a centrally-acting agent for painful musculoskeletal conditions.
Side Effects
Mild to moderate burning sensation in 5-15% patients which is transient in nature and almost never necessitated discontinuation of treatment. Other less common side-effects are sensitivity to light, bad taste, feeling of pressure, allergic reactions etc.
