Description
Indications:
- Coflax with Codeine is used for persistent, dry, irritating cough.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to the product or its constituents.
- Individuals with hepatic or respiratory failure.
Drug Interactions:
- Alcohol and other CNS depressants may be potentiated.
- Anticholinergics’ effects may be enhanced.
- Codeine may interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
Warnings and Precautions:
- May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery.
- Use with caution in moderate to severe renal dysfunction.
- Avoid in narrow-angle glaucoma or symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy.
Side Effects:
- Diphenhydramine: Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision.
- Codeine: Constipation, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness.
