Indications
Angizaar is prescribed for:
- Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Helps lower blood pressure to prevent complications such as heart attacks and strokes.
- Heart Failure: Assists in improving heart function and reducing symptoms like breathlessness and swelling.
- Diabetic Nephropathy: Protects the kidneys in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
Dosage
- Adults: Typically, the starting dose is 50 mg once daily. Depending on the response, the dose may be adjusted to 25 mg or increased to 100 mg once daily.
- Children (6 years and older): The dose is based on weight and should be determined by a healthcare provider.
- Administration: Can be taken with or without food.
Side Effects
Common side effects include:
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Headache
- Indigestion
- Diarrhea
- Low blood pressure
- High potassium levels in the blood
Less common but serious side effects:
- Kidney problems
- Severe allergic reactions
Precautions
