Description
Biopentin NT, a medication that contains:
1. Gabapentin (400 mg): An anticonvulsant used to treat neuropathic pain and seizures. It works by calming overactive nerve signals in the brain and spinal cord.
2. Nortriptyline (10 mg): A tricyclic antidepressant with additional pain-relieving properties, particularly effective for chronic nerve pain.
Uses:
Management of neuropathic pain (e.g., diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, sciatica).
Treatment of chronic pain conditions involving nerve damage.
Dosage and Administration:
Typically taken once or twice daily, depending on the prescription.
Should be swallowed whole with water, preferably after meals to reduce stomach upset.
